Hip, Hip, Hooray for Sand County Service Company. I hate to classify them as a campground ‘cuz they aren’t. They’re a company that has various properties in the Dells area that you can rent on a daily or weekly basis. If you’re heading to Wisconsin Dells/Lake Delton area and you want to rent a cabin w/a group they are the #1 people to call!!! They have the best cabins, the friendliest staff and the best rates by far. Words cannot describe how gorgeous their cabins are. I and a group of friends and family had the pleasure of spending June 1-3 at their cabin “Towering Pines” in the Wisconsin Dells area and we were so pleased we reserved another stay for later this year! This place has it all and it’s great if you’re traveling with kids like us (we had 8) It was a little scary being out in the woods but they have places that are a little closer to civilization than we were (10 mi north of downtown Wisconsin Dells is where our cabin was) but it really wasn’t that bad…except in the dark when I swear I saw that damn Smokey the Bear sitting at a campfire. I think they have cabins elsewhere, like Michigan and other parts of Wisconsin. Check them out…you won’t be sorry!!!

by Grace LitscherThe place is so cozy and welcoming. The view from the living room balcony and the master bedroom balcony is to die for! It looks right over the lake. So peaceful. The neighborhood is nice and quiet but still down the street to all the attractions. There is a well equipped kitchen to make meals. The pool house is nice with a warm pool and hot tub. The check in process is smooth (no contact). The people at Sand County are very helpful and communicative. We will stay again next time we go to the Dells! Our stay at the property was the first of its kind for us. It was my Christmas gift to the family. We needed a quiet getaway. The property we stayed at exceeded our expectations! We came prepared with a tabletop Christmas tree and lights. To our surprise, the home welcomed us already decorated for Christmas, and a beautifully decorated tree! The home was both roomy and cozy enough for 8 full sized people with many personal touches! We hope to make this a yearly tradition.
Very calming location right on Mirror Lake
by Jon RajslLoved the open floor plan, we brought kayaks and left them on the floating dock and they were safe the whole 5 days. Had a one minute padded to be on fabulous Mirror Lake... Loved paddling over to the swim beach, the backwaters to upper Mirrow Lake also saw awesome rock formations! Cabin has a beautiful view, just stunning. The sunsets on the lake made it all worthwhile. George at Sand County is our go to agent, give him a call and book a trip to remember!

Property was nice. Very quaint and cute. My favorite spot was the living room. Loved the beams on ceiling and the L couch was very comfortable. The only thing you might need to fix is the step into the sunroom was not even. My husband and boys loved the sunroom and we all loved the fire pit!!! You need to fix the sliding door shade. The whole thing rolls all the way out.

A very nice property with a great kitchen! Some of the non-stick pans should probably not continue to be used as they are very scratched up. Overall very cozy and fun place to stay - especially liked the large table as all of us were able to sit at it!

Only real complaint would be the grill size. For just a couple people it would be fine but for 6 of us it seemed small.
Loved staying here at Peaceful Pines, secluded in the woods but a 5 minute drive to the Dells. Being on Mirror Lake was a huge bonus, went on some amazing kayak trips both morning and dusk. A truly fantastic experience!

We enjoyed staying in this beautiful, relaxing home.The decks and yard were very inviting and we were able to have a Bon fire and play various games outside. There were enough TVs so both children and adults to enjoy. The kitchen was nicely stocked. I couldn’t, however, find a hot mitt For removing a hot item from the oven or stove. I also think a few more kitchen towels would have been helpful. The basement offered us the opportunity to play pool and cards on the card table. Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were which is rare. We had a great time. Thanks.

The Seth Peterson cottage is a unique and historic piece of architecture. It provides the opportunity for those with an interest to experience living in a Frank Lloyd Wright artistic creation. By its design and nature it allows one to experience the natural attributes of Mirror Lake and in all its natural beauty in any Season. It is not a " luxury property " but a magnificent work of art. The conservancy and Board and Sand County are doing a great job in my opinion.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the property and in Wisconsin Dells! The location was wonderful! It was nice to be out of the city and have some space and quiet, but still close enough to all of the fun. We loved the firepit and there was a lot of space for the kids to burn off energy outside. Despite the issues/concerns I listed above, we would still be happy to stay at a Sand County property again in the future!

The cabin was beautiful and extremely well maintained. It was clean and smelled very good. We loved exploring with our dogs and down on the dock, and especially the front porch. The rooms are very nice and cozy. Bathroom had great water pressure and the kitchen was the perfect size. For all of us, we honestly couldn’t have asked for anything better. Being able to bring our dogs was icing on the cake. Such a lovely cabin and we are grateful for our stay!
