The Nord Haus: Tranquil Escape Amid Wisconsin Dells
Situated in the heart of Wisconsin Dells, yet offering serene seclusion, The Nord Haus is a charming A-frame cottage nestled among towering 200-year-old pine trees and overlooking the Lake Delton Channel. We provide basic essentials but not items like salt, pepper, oil, or paper towels. Please plan to bring these.
Rustic Comfort and Amenities
This cozy retreat features 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and a living room with a wood-burning stove and smart TV. Relax on the two generous decks—one at the front, one at the back—and gather around the 6-person fire ring for evenings of fun and connection. A canoe and charcoal grill are provided for your enjoyment, adding outdoor adventure and flavor to your stay.
Unique Experiences and Prime Location
Marvel at the nesting bald eagles right on the property—a spectacular sight! The cottage is just five minutes away from popular attractions, including waterparks, Mirror Lake State Park, the Ishnala Supper Club, and several dining options within walking distance.
Important Details
Due to the steep path to the water and the spiral staircase leading to the bedrooms, The Nord Haus is best suited for able-bodied guests. Dogs are welcome for a $100 pet fee.

Yes and no. The house was GREAT, but we rented the Nordhaus so that we could take the Kayak out. The Dock was flipped over (looks like a tree landed on it) and between the fallen tree and the flipped dock, there was no way we could launch the Kayak safely from the bank.

Cute outdoorsy cabin. Must be physically able to fit up small spiral staircase to the bedroom loft and fit in a small accommodation cabin. Our family of five with three kids and two dogs -it worked, but the staircase would be a challenge for the elderly, handicapped, little toddlers, or obese. Just being honest for those looking to book. Nice location and great for taking dogs for a walk. The bike path on the road provides a safe shaded area for the roads nearby.

My kids and I had a great stay at Nord Haus. Fantastic outdoor area, great for cookouts and a campfire. The best part of the trip was paddling from the house up to Mirror Lake. We used the canoe provided with the house, and rented a couple of kayaks from the nearby marina. By "nearby," I mean you can actually see the marina from the end of the Nord Haus dock! No driving necessary. Be prepared to portage over a small dam. Excellent trip!
