Hip, Hip, Hooray for Sand County Service Company. I hate to classify them as a campground ‘cuz they aren’t. They’re a company that has various properties in the Dells area that you can rent on a daily or weekly basis. If you’re heading to Wisconsin Dells/Lake Delton area and you want to rent a cabin w/a group they are the #1 people to call!!! They have the best cabins, the friendliest staff and the best rates by far. Words cannot describe how gorgeous their cabins are. I and a group of friends and family had the pleasure of spending June 1-3 at their cabin “Towering Pines” in the Wisconsin Dells area and we were so pleased we reserved another stay for later this year! This place has it all and it’s great if you’re traveling with kids like us (we had 8) It was a little scary being out in the woods but they have places that are a little closer to civilization than we were (10 mi north of downtown Wisconsin Dells is where our cabin was) but it really wasn’t that bad…except in the dark when I swear I saw that damn Smokey the Bear sitting at a campfire. I think they have cabins elsewhere, like Michigan and other parts of Wisconsin. Check them out…you won’t be sorry!!!
We would recommend providing minimal spices, like salt and pepper. Also a kitchen scrubby would be nice as well as a few dishwasher tabs. The kitchen had a single knife that was very dull. I think making a few small changes would elevate the experience.

We love the peacefulness of the Happy Heaven log cabin, stayed there since 2020 and before that 6 years at the Hiawatha House on Lake Delton. We are 54,57,61 and come with our 94 year old Mom every year, we love being able to cook food on the grill and sit out on the deck enjoying the view. The decor inside the cabin really sets this property apart from a typical rental, its very well put together.

Everything was great, except for spiders. One was on a towel and got on me. I freaked. I was more careful after that. I know this time of year trying to get in.

Property was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Enjoyed getting to use the canoe on this visit, and grilling out dinner one night. We were VERY happy to get two nights to stay on this visit (only had one last time), it really gave us time to relax and settle in. Only comment for something that could be updated is that some of the bedding could be replaced (mattress pads and pillows.) Also, it smelled REALLY smoky in the cabin and being in the upper 80s we couldn't leave windows open to air it out. Wondered if someone before us didn't have the damper opened properly. We don't remember it being like that when we stayed last year and it was colder then and more likely fireplace was being used frequently. Thank you to the conservancy members and others that make staying at this lovely, unique property possible!

We loved everything about our stay except the cooking pans in the kitchen, which had a coating that we cracked. Since a lot of such coating aren't considered safe anymore, we were particularly concerned about the safety. Since we had our food with us and planned to cook we used them, but they really need to be replaced - all 3 of the pans.

Cabin was beautiful we loved the decorations except the clown doll. Just wished the river was full so we could take the canoe out but everything was beautiful. Loved the peacefulness and quiet. Wouldn't mind coming back in a few years in the fall. Thank you so much for letting us stay there!

Yes and no. The house was GREAT, but we rented the Nordhaus so that we could take the Kayak out. The Dock was flipped over (looks like a tree landed on it) and between the fallen tree and the flipped dock, there was no way we could launch the Kayak safely from the bank.

by Donna YorksonWe had a large multi generation group for a week and we loved this house. It had plenty of bedrooms AND bathrooms. It was close to the attractions but off the strip in a very quiet spot. It provided a lot of areas for socializing. It wasn\'t new and fancy but it was clean and had what we needed. Bathrooms were very clean. If you plan to cook for a large group just bring large pots though. Refrigerator has an icemaker which is really nice. FYI, no blender. Again, it was wonderful for our large group with older and younger people.

The house was very peaceful, quiet and well maintained. Could have used a few more basics such as facial tissue, paper towel and kitchen towels, but was otherwise perfect for our needs.

The house at Bluff View is gorgeous! It is in a great location to enjoy nature but also have all the amenities to make our stay comfortable with plenty of room to move around and stay for our group of 10. The house was easy to find and still so close to all the activities at The Dells. There was ample parking for our group as well. We loved everything about our stay at this property.

by AmberThe picture of the \"beach\" area needs updated. The beach area is non existent. We were pretty disappointed because we planned our whole vacation around this specific feature. Also, there are 4 bathrooms, but only 2 full baths. 2 showers for 13 people was not easy. However, the house was very well stocked with everything we needed and then some, we really appreciated that there were extra blankets and the games.

It would have been nice to have more pillows on the beds. Thankfully we brought 3 from home otherwise sleeping would have been difficult. There isn't enough cabinet space for food. We cooked multiple meals and didn't have much space for eating with groceries taking up counter space. Simple things were missing that we needed. A lighter for the firepit, scissors and small food storage containers would have been nice. We had to go out and buy those items. My suggestion would be to put shelving in the only closet area accessible for guests for boxed food items.

Overall everything was wonderful Love the big deck and the fire ring. The cabin had lots of room for all of us. That was great. Beds were somewhat hard but you know how it is sleeping in a different bed! Kitchen could use a couple smaller pans, can opener that works and a whisk. Otherwise it was well equipped. We stayed at the Happy Heaven cabin and it was an exceptional cabin. It provided us everything we needed for cooking and plenty of towels. The only downfall was the river was dry and there was old canoes and no kayaks like stated on the website. Plus the garbage was never picked up by the road but not a big deal. Would definitely recommend.

Liked the layout. The on-suite was really nice. It should be highlighted in your sites. The porch is a great addition. The lake site was great with the views, kayaks, row boat, and dock. Would like to have paper towels, paper plates, napkins, zip lock baggies or make it very clear we need to bring those supplies or buy them when we get there.
